Martz Expects Jones To Return Early

Lions offensive coordinator Mike Martz expects running back Kevin Jones to be ready to play in the team’s September 9th regular season opener.  Martz said Jones is making good progress and is anxious to have him back on the sidelines.  Jones injured his left foot in December and has been on the physically unable to perform list but can be activated at any time before the season starts.
