It will be a game-time decision as to whether Lions quarterback Jon Kitna will play in this weekend’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.  Kitna has missed three practices because of back spasms.  He said he wants to play, but offensive coordinator Mike Martz said he doesn’t want to take any chances with his starter.

In other Lions news,  the team released kick return specialist Eddie Drummond.  Drummond said he expected something was going to happen because he wasn’t getting a chance to compete for a wide receiver spot.  He averaged over 23 yards returning kicks, nearly 10 yards on put returns and had six touchdowns as a Lion.
