Lions Smashed by Eagles 56-21 in Philly

The Lions lost their bid for a 3-and-0 start, falling 56-21 to the Eagles in Philadelphia. The Detroit defense gave up 473 yards and 42 points in the first half alone. Quarterback Jon Kitna threw for 446 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, while receiver Roy Williams had nine catches for 204 yards and a touchdown. The Lions return to Ford Field next weekend to take on the Chicago Bears.

I was at the game in Philly this weekend. As you can imagine, it was more painful than watching it on television. Coming off 0-2, Eagles fans were loud and cheering the entire game. At least Michigan beat Penn State.
