Johnson Day-to-day with Lower Back Injury

Lions star rookie WR Calvin Johnson is officially “day-to-day” after hurting his lower back in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Eagles.  He hurt the back making a nice catch in the game, and called the injury a bad bruise, as there is nothing broken in the back.  “Just came down wrong, I guess,” Johnson said. “I smacked the dirt pretty hard. I felt it right away.”  The team will monitor Johnson this week to see about his availability for this Sunday’s game vs the 1-2 Chicago Bears at Ford Field.
