Williams Speaks His Mind on Arizona; the Fans

Williams in Arizona

Roy Williams has never been one to not speak his mind, and in a Q&A with WDFN Radio, Roy was at his best, speaking about the gameplan Sunday in Arizona.  “To be honest, I don’t know what the game plan was,” Williams said.  “I can sometimes figure it out (beforehand), but I didn’t know going into this one. We tried to run the ball — we scored from four yards out, and then the next two runs were minus-10 yards.”

As far as this weeks huge game at home against the New York Giants, Williams made mention about having a solid home field advantage this week at Ford Field.  It’s a battle of 6-3 teams, and Williams knows how big it’s going to be.  “If you want to be a fan, be a fan. If you don’t, then we’ll celebrate without you. We want to go out there and win every ballgame that we can,” Williams said.  “We want to play for the fans, but in the grand scheme of things, we’re playing for each other — especially on the road. And for the people who want to say “same old Lions,” why don’t you buy a ticket on the road and come support us.”
