Lions Blow Late Lead in Falling to Cowboys 28-27

Tony Romo connected with Jason Witten with 18 seconds left in the game to give the Cowboys a 28-27 win over the Lions at Ford Field and clinch the NFC East.  Dallas trailed 27-14 heading into the final quarter and never held a lead until the go-ahead score.  Romo completed 35-of-44 attempts for 307 yards and two scores.  He found Witten 15 times for 143 yards and the pivotal touchdown.  Dallas improved to 12-and-1 on the season.  The Lions never scored in the fourth quarter.  Detroit’s Jon Kitna was 22-of-36 passing for 248 yards.  Shaun McDonald had eight receptions for 96 yards, while Kevin Jones carried the ball 23 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns.  The Lions dropped to 6-and-7.
