Former Michigan assistant Scot Loeffler Named New QB Coach
Posted by Matt Loede on January 21st, 2008 filed in NewsMLive is reporting that the Lions have named former Michigan assistant Scot Loeffler as the teams new QB coach. The story says that Loeffler’s main job with the team for 2008 will be to get 2007 second-round pick Drew Stanton ready to play at somepoint of the season. Stanton was already getting a lot of advice on mechanics from former offensive coordinator Mike Martz, who was fired and moves on to San Fran. If Loeffler can keep Stanton on the right track, I would be stunned if we don’t see Stanton start to be on the field at some point in 2008.
