Kitna To Remain Lions’ Starter

Jon Kitna remains the Lions’ starting quarterback.  Head coach Rod Marinelli added, however, that backups Drew Stanton and Dan Orlovsky would be given a chance to compete for the job.  Stanton sat out all of last year while Orlovsky has not played since he was a rookie in 2005.  Marinelli also said he has no plans to trade Roy Williams and added he envisions Williams and Calvin Johnson forming a dominating receiving tandem.
