Lions Ship DT Rogers to the Bengals for a Draft Pick

The Lions have moved defensive tackle Shaun Rogers, as earlier today the team received a 3rd or 4th round pick from the Bengals for him. The Lions had been talking to anyone that would listen for about the last 10 days about Rogers, who fell out of favor with the coaching staff for his inconsistent play on the field. There was talk of a three-way deal involving the Jets and Broncos that had Rogers in it, but it fell through and both New York and Denver went elsewhere for deals and moves.
Cincinnati is getting a former second-round pick that if motivated, can be a force on their D-line. Last season in 16 games he had 39 tackles and seven sacks. He right away upgrades their D-line and will be a welcome sight to Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. In his career, Rogers has played in 98 games, putting up 355 tackles with 29 sacks, 1 memorable interception for a score, and four forced fumbles.
