LB Sims Suffers Leg Injury During Morning Practice

Lions LB Ernie Sims didn’t take part in this afternoons practice after suffering injuries to his right leg during the morning session.  Sims said that he landed funny during the AM practice, but was able to walk off the field following the practice session.  Trainer Dean Kleinschmidt said that he thought Sims may have suffered a hyperextended knee and sprained ankle.  For now, Sims will see a doctor on Monday and the team will update his condition.  He led the Lions in tackles the last two seasons.
