Lions Roster at 53 After a Day of Cuts

The Lions have made the necessary moves to get their roster at 53.  Gone are the following: CB Kiwaukee Thomas, WR John Standeford, T Jonathan Scott, RB Artose Pinner, WR Kenneth Moore, WR Brandon Middleton, LB Leon Joe, G Corey Husley, S LaMarcus Hicks, QB Drew Henson, TE Clark Harris, DE Rudy Hardie, WR Devle Ellis, CB Dovonte Edwards, DE Victor DeGrate, G Frank Davis, LB Buster Davis, S Greg Blue, and WR Ron Bellamy.  The team also put RB’s Brian Callhoun and Aveion Cason on IR.  “There were some tough calls,” said coach Rod Marinelli. “Some of the receivers did a nice job for us. We have a blocker in there – a couple of the blockers (we cut) are pretty solid guys. So, we’ll see how it goes.”
