The Lions have swapped one running back for another.  Yesterday, the team officially signed former Bengal Rudi Johnson to a one-year deal and released Tatum Bell.  Johnson did not play in the preseason for Cincinnati but said he is ready to go and hopes to be on the field for Detroit’s opener this weekend in Atlanta.  He will likely begin the season as the backup to rookie Kevin Smith, who beat out Bell for the starting job.
