Rogers Sentenced After Violating Probation

Former Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers will enroll in sobriety court as part of his sentence for violating his probation. Rogers was arrested in September, and charged with assaulting a female acquaintance. He pleaded no-contest and was ordered to a three-quarter treatment house as part of his probation. Since Monday, though, he’s been held in the Oakland County Jail after testing positive for Vicodin. He’ll be released this evening and begin the program immediately. While enrolled in the sobriety court program, Rogers will get substance-abuse counseling.
