Curry No Longer on the Radar?

Now that the Lions have made a trade for Julian Peterson, does that mean that Wake Forest linebacker Aaron Curry is no longer the guy that the Lions would take at number 1? It appears that could be the case and that the Lions will now look for a quarterback, or a lineman as their number one pick. Or does it mean that the Lions will still take Curry, and put him at middle linebacker sandwiched in between Ernie Sims and Peterson? Nothing wrong with that except linebackers are dependent upon a strong defensive line.

If the defensive line sucks, then the linebackers are vulnerable. However, Julian Peterson is the stud linebacker that Boss Bailey always had the potential to be, if he ever would have stayed healthy. Although I like Cory Redding, former Michigan State linebacker Peterson is an amazing athlete and is a 5 time pro bowler. Giving up Redding and a fifth round pick is a no brainer, and Martin Meyhew is proving that he knows what he’s doing when it comes to trading.

Curry needs to be the pick at #1! Stafford would ride the pine his first year so why not take Curry or even one of the studs on the o-line? Package a deal for Cutler or maybe D.Anderson and you have a proven NFL ready QB. After 12 years of suffering at these games,if they take Stafford I will no longer be the loyal fan I have been through this horrible decade plus of terrible football.

Stafford never did anything great at Georgia. Why does anyone think he would do great things at the next level.
    Curry is the BEST PICK!
Kiper says take Stafford. Check Kiper’s record: He said Andre Ware would be an NFL great. He said Trent Dilfer should be drafted before Peyton Manning. If Kiper likes Stafford, then that means Do NOT Take Stafford!
