Jeff Komlo’s last Scramble?

Komlo
The Philadelphia Enquirer is reporting that ex Detroit Lions quarterback, Jeff Komlo, died last Saturday in a car crash in Athens, Greece. Jeff was drafted by The Detroit Lions in 1979 from The University of Delaware in the ninth round. He started at quarterback that year when Gary Danielson went down with an injury. All told, Jeff played in 25 games which included stints in Atlanta and Tampa Bay and threw for 12 TD’s.

Reports are a bit sketchy and there is speculation that Komlo may have faked his death and has simply disappeared. He was featured on America’s Most Wanted in August 2005, after going missing while facing sentencing on a pair of DUI convictions in Pennsylvania. He was also facing charges of cocaine possession and assault, and police wanted to question him about possible arson of his homes in West Palm Beach and Chester Springs, Pennsylvania.
