Steelers Cut Foote; Detroit Bound?

Steelers Foote Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers made it official today, what everybody knew was going to happen sooner or later, cutting LB Larry Foote. Foote was a fourth round draft pick in 2002 from The University of Michigan and was due to make $2.885 million dollars in this, his last season of his contract.

What made Foote really expendable, was the emergence of Lawrence Timmons,a 2007 first round pick. Foote was not happy coming off the field as much as he did, and wants to go somewhere where he can be an every down LB.

Foote has indicated that he love to come back to his hometown and play for the Detroit Lions, and I’m pretty sure the Lions would welcome him here.
