Lions Ink Second-Round Pick Safety Louis Delmas

Pro Football Weekly reports the Lions have inked second-round pick Louis Delmas

The Lions have signed second-round S Louis Delmas to a four-year deal, agent Drew Rosenhaus announced on his Twitter account today.

Delmas, the first pick of the second round, has an excellent chance to start in Detroit. He routinely was praised by head coach Jim Schwartz through the offseason for picking up the scheme quickly and even getting others lined up.

The Lions have confirmed the signing and announced they have cut DE Eric Hicks to make room on the roster for Delmas.

His signing leaves only three of the team’s 10 draft picks unsigned: first-round TE Brandon Pettigrew, third-round WR Derrick Williams and fourth-round DT Sammie Hill.
