Lions Pull Trigger on Three Team Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Lions, Broncos and Eagles have agreed to a three team trade that sends LB Ernie Sims to Philly, TE Tony Scheffler and a 7th round pick to the Lions and the Broncos receive the Eagles 5th rounder.

This trade has not been confirmed by the Lions or approved by the league office yet.

    WTF? Sims was a stud! If heathly with a good front four in front of him the lions would have had a budding star At Will Backer position. Bad Move

  2. Sims could have been a stud, but he was never going to be in Schwartz’s system. He was just too small to handle his responsibilities in the running game, which is why he was hurt so often last season. This was a good move for the Lions.

    I think we got a fair deal. Scheffler is a borderline All-Pro and Sims is a serviceable linebacker at best. Mayhew is looking like a good choice for the Fords. He got that 7th rounder too. Look for the Lions to move up in this draft at some point.
