ESPN reports that the surgery for place kicker Jason Hanson went well:
Arthroscopic surgery on Lions placekicker Jason Hanson’s left (non-kicking) knee went according to plan, and the veteran kicker is expected to be back on the field in time for Week 1, according to the Detroit Free Press. The procedure was minor, and it sounds like it shouldn’t effect Hanson’s production once the season begins. Aaron Pettrey will handle kicking duties in the interim.
