Schwartz not talking about the status of Matthew Stafford

Jim Schwartz is staying quiet about the status of Matthew Stafford in regard to his injury.

In the interest of national security – or whatever better cause Detroit coach Jim Schwartz believes he’s aiding in remaining completely silent – the Lions are offering zero clue about the status of quarterback Matthew Stafford. He sat out Sunday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with an injured right shoulder, the result of a hit from Chicago defensive end Julius Peppers in the opener. If you’re keeping score it home, it was their 33rd loss in the last 35 games. According to Tom “Killer” Kowalski of, Schwartz offered no clues whatsoever on Stafford’s status in his press conference this afternoon. There has been speculation that it was separated, but no one is shedding any light on the matter and Schwartz simply says the No. 1 pick from last year will not play until he’s completely healthy.
