Lions’ Running Game Suffers Another Setback with the Loss of Kevin Smith

Lions’ backup running back Kevin Smith will most likely miss a few games after having thumb surgery.  Smith injured the thumb in the loss to the Bills and will have surgery this week.  There is no timetable for Smith’s return, but judging from the severity of the injury, it should be at least 3-4 weeks.

Aaron Brown or Maurice Morris will step into the backup spot in the meantime.

  1. PJ Lincoln says:

Smith’s loss isn’t huge, in my opinion. I actually like Morris better; not sure why he got bumped so down on the depth chart anyway.
