Calvin Johnson and Ndamukong Suh Named Pro Bowl Starters

The NFL announced the preliminary Pro Bowl rosters and not only did Suh and Johnson get named to the Pro Bowl, but they will both start in it.  Suh was almost a given as he was the top vote getter at his position in the fan voting and is on the verge of setting an NFL rookie record for sacks.  Calvin Johnson was expected to make the Pro Bowl, but he was also expected to make the Pro Bowl in 2008 when he led the league in touchdowns and was in the top three for receiving yards in the conference.  He was left off the roster and was named an alternate.

Since the Pro Bowl is the week before the Super Bowl, any players set to play in the Super Bowl are left off the roster.  Louis Delmas, John Wendling and Stefan Logan were all named alternates so depending on the Super Bowl contestants as many as five Lions could appear in the Pro Bowl.
