Lionsgab Goes to Indy

Indianapolis has been the home of the kickoff to the NFL offseason since 1982 when it became the site of the NFL Scouting Combine.  Every year Indy is the epicenter of the NFL in terms of preparation for the draft starting with the teams’ first opportunity to meet the underclassmen that declared, moving on to all the workouts, interviews, weigh ins and press conferences.

Indy has also been home to all the tampering and illegal conversations in advance of free agency as all the coaches, GMs, scouts and agents congregate for the Combine and various league meetings.  Indy won’t be home to any free agency business this year because nobody knows when it starts or how it will work as the CBA threatens to steal some of the Combine spotlight.

With all the intrigue and uncertainty how could I resist heading to Indy during the 29th NFL Scouting Combine to catch a glimpse?  I will be heading down for a seminar Friday (more to follow on that) and following it up with a meet and greet and then I’ll be hanging by the bar and putting out the vibe

Check in for periodic updates over the next few days and hopefully I can figure out Twitter (Lionsgab) so I can provide updates as events warrant.
