Lions Have Worked Out Pitt DE Greg Romeus

The National Football Post reports that Pitt defensive end Greg Romeus has worked out with both the Dolphins and Lions.

Pitt defensive end Greg Romeus has visited the Miami Dolphins, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. He has a previous visit with the Detroit Lions that the team announced. Romeus is a former Big East Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year who had a rough senior year due to surgery on a herniated disc followed by tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Connecticut during his first game back from the back injury. His prognosis is good for recovering from the knee injury and he bench pressed 225 pounds 24 times at the Pitt Pro Day workout. Romeus decided to come back for his senior year after receiving a third-round grade from the NFL Advisory Committee following a strong junior season.
