Fairley, Baldwin, Ridley and Mims All Talking to the Lions Today

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley, Pitt wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin, LSU running back Stevan Ridley and Virginia Union offensive tackle David Mims are visiting the Lions today, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Fairley’s visits included the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans and the Washington Redskins.

Last season, Fairley recorded 11 1/2 sacks and 24 tackles for losses. Baldwin has visited the Baltimore Ravens and the Dallas Cowboys.

The 6-foot-4, 228-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times and registered a 42-inch vertical leap.

He also posted a 10-9 broad jump, a 1.58 10-yard split and a 7.07 three-cone drill. Ridley has visited the St. Louis Rams and the Dallas Cowboys.

Ridley ran the 40-yard dash in 4.66 seconds at his Pro Day workout, bench pressing 225 pounds 21 times and registering a 6.78 three-cone drill. Mims has worked out for the Kansas City Chiefs, Lions and the Ravens. He has also visited the Ravens.

Mims bench pressed 225 pounds 29 times at his Pro Day workout, running the 40-yard dash in 5.32 seconds. He registered a 4.8 20-yard shuttle, an 8.1 on the three-cone drill, an 8-6 broad jump and a 27-inch vertical leap.
