Lions QB Matthew Stafford “day-to-day” with ankle injury

Lions head coach Jim Schwartz says quarterback Matthew Stafford is “no more than day-to-day” with an ankle injury.

The injury occurred when a Falcons defender fell on his right leg during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s 23-16 loss.

Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reported that Stafford was in a walking boot on Sunday night.

Schwartz added that Stafford wouldn’t be considered day-to-day if his MRI and X-rays on Monday weren’t clean.
