Logan Says Kickoff Rule Changes Hurt His Numbers Last Year

Stefan Logan, who was brought to the Lions supposed to be an explosive kick returner, says his numbers were down last season due to all the rule changes in the NFL when it came to kickoffs.

Stefan Logan was outstanding as the Detroit Lions’ returner in 2010. Last season, things were different. Logan struggled throughout the season, leading many to believe that his spot on the roster this year may be in jeopardy. With the rules changes that happened, Jim Schwartz mentioned earlier this offseason that Logan’s opportunities to make an impact were limited, and Logan thinks the changes were the reason for his struggles. “Last year was a little sluggish,” Logan said. “We got some of the new rules and stuff, but I’ll pick up where I left off in my first year. I think the new rule that came in as far as the kickoffs, it kind of messed me up a little bit, and I kind of got out of sync. But now that I know what’s going on and how they’re going to do it, we’ll make some changes, and I think everything will work out in our favor.”
