Lions Pickup CB Jerome Murphy; Waive CB Barnes

The Lions Tuesday made some moves that will hopefully help at the CB spot.

The Lions might have found some cornerback help. They claimed former Saints cornerback Jerome Murphy off waivers Tuesday, the Lions reported on their website.

Murphy played in both of the Saints games this year and recorded three tackles. He was drafted by the Rams in the third round in 2010.

To make room for Murphy, the Lions released cornerback Kevin Barnes, whom they traded for during the exhibition season.
