Guard Larry Warford, they Lions’ third-round draft pick, continued to deal with a neck injury and did very little in practice on the third and final day of rookie minicamp.
Warford suffered what appeared to be a stinger when he caught a teammate’s elbow by accident during practice Saturday. Today he went through a few individual drills but was held out of team drills and any contact work as a precaution, according to Lions coach Jim Schwartz.
“It gave everybody a little bit of scare when anybody went down,” Schwartz said. “But he bounced back quickly. But he came back out on the field yesterday, even though he didn’t continue practice. He was feeling a lot better then.
“He could have gone through everything today. But we just limited him to just individual today. We didn’t want him going through any of the half-line stuff or the team stuff or anything like that. So we made the decision on him just to err on the side of caution.”
