Earlier in the week the Lions signed cornerback Brandon King and waived linebacker Alex Elkins and wide receiver Devin Thomas. To complete the 90-man roster, the Lions claimed linebacker Adrian Moten off waivers.
Moten was undrafted in 2011. In the past two seasons, he played for four different teams. Moten started out with the Indianapolis Colts in 2011. Moten then went to the Seattle Seahawks in that same season. In 2012, he started out with the Philadelphia Eagles. Later in the 2012 season, he went to the Cleveland Browns. The Cleveland Browns waived Moten this past Sunday.
Moten has only 13 appearances total which none of those are starts. His first season in the NFL, he played in 10 games with the Colts and had 7 combined tackles and 5 total tackles. Then he went to the Seahawks and played in 2 games, not recording any stats. When he went to the Eagles he played in 1 game, again recording no stats. Moten had no appearances with the Browns.
King played two seasons in the NFL. 2010 and 2011, both with the Colts. In 2010 he made 4 appearances with 1 combined tackle and 1 total tackle. In 2011, King made only 4 appearances again with 2 combined tackles and 1 total tackle.
