The Lions have re-sign defensive tackle Tyrunn Walker to a one-year, $1.6 million contract according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
With incentives, Walker could potentially earn $2.25 million in 2016. The 25-year-old Walker played only four games for the Lions in 2015 before breaking his leg and dislocating his ankle.
He was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent and would lkely have garnered some interest on the open market. Instead, he and the Lions agreed on a low-risk contract for both parties that will likely allow Walker to rehabilitate his value for bigger paydays ahead. Walker is expected to be ready by training camp.
