Lions Win 24-10!!!!!!

The first preseason game is in the books and it didn’t come without any causalities. The biggest lost comes at a position that the Lions are very thin, Defensive End. Kerry Hyder, Jr. went down with what’s currently being reported as a leg injury. No word on the severity or how long he will be out at the moment. Hyder Jr. was the Lions sack leader a year ago with 8 off the edge. If you’re wondering just how important this lost is to Lions, look no further than Coach Jim Caldwell walking all the way out to the field to check on the star. In what appeared to be a very touchy moment, some teammates surrounded Hyder Jr. understandably shaken up given the injury.

With that being said, there were some bright spots. Lions 1st round draft pick Jarrad Davis looked solid in his first outing making some key reads and tackles. Ameer Abdullah looked healthy and ready to deliver some big plays this season. But the game ball without question goes to rookie wide receiver Kenny Golladay. The 6’4 wideout had 3 catches for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both touchdowns were in the red zone and well defended. If this is a sign of what is to come, then I will fully endorse the Golladay hype train.
