The Lions made a rather minor roster move on Wednesday, but one that will get a lot of attention based on the name of the player they signed.
That player is Michael Jackson, a cornerback who the team is taking away from the Dallas Cowboys practice squad.
Jackson was a fifth-round pick by the Cowboys this year and was on the practice squad after failing to make the team out of camp.
The Lions released running back Paul Perkins to make room for Jackson on the active roster. They also announced that defensive lineman Austin Bryant has been designated to return from injured reserve.
