The club had little success under Patricia, as they struggled with two straight seasons under .500.
Sitting at 4-7 after Thursday’s Thanksgiving loss to the Houston Texans, the team is at 4-7 and it appears they are headed for a third season where the team is going to end the year under .500.
Since taking the reigns as head coach for the Lions, Patrica sat at 13-29-1. Under GM Quinn things were not much better, as his record was 31-42-1.
“It was a hard decision because they are both terrific people and worked very hard and tirelessly for this organization,” owner Sheila Ford Hamp said Saturday.
“It just clearly wasn’t working. It wasn’t what we had hoped for when we hired them, and so I don’t know if there was an exact moment.
