Lions Begin Preparations For Browns

The Lions returned to practice and are getting ready to face the Browns this weekend.  Fans can expect to see the starters get more playing time, as the third exhibition game is normally when coaches utilize the first team the most during the preseason.  The Lions will host Cleveland Saturday at Ford Field.

Lions Place Lehman On Injured Reserve

The Lions have placed linebacker Teddy Lehman on injured reserve.  Lehman suffered a hamstring injury in practice, the latest in a long line if injuries that have plagued his career with Detroit.  The Lions are expected to reach a financial settlement with Lehman that grant him his release.  Detroit also signed free-agent linebacker Darnell Bing.

Lions Host More Open Practices

The Lions are once again opening their practices to the public.  The first 700 fans will be able to watch the team’s morning and afternoon sessions, set for 8:35 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  Detroit opens the preseason next week against the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants at Ford Field.
