The Lions added a big piece on their defensive line on Friday afternoon, agreeing to a one-year huge deal with former Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Mike Daniels.
Daniels was released in a surprise move by the Packers on Wednesday.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the massive one-year deal will pay Daniels $9.1 million with $7.8 million guaranteed.
Daniels played seven seasons with the Lions, recording 29 sacks and 68 quarterback hits.
If the Packers would have kept Daniels on their roster, he would have made $7.6 million. This was the last season of his contract in Green Bay.
Former Packers’ Pro-Bowl DT Mike Daniels is finalizing a deal with the Detroit Lions, source tells ESPN.
